review: two moons of Sera by Pavarti K Tyler

The truly important things in life - love, beauty, and one's own uniqueness - are constantly being overlooked. - Pablo Casals

Two Moons of Sera
Serafay is a union of two separate worlds - the Sualwets and the Erdlanders. she belongs to neither one. shunned by her water-borne kin and hidden from land-dwelling humans, she grows up protected in a secret cove with only her mother Nilafay for company. Serafay's longing for someone's friendship is realized when she meets the enigmatic Torkek. things, though, will be never be the same for Serafay when she does.
Pavarti K Tyler has written a heart-tugging introduction to her Two Moons of Sera romance serial. it is a finely crafted story that explores isolation, being different, innocence, friendship, love and sacrifice.
the fantasy world the author has created is as unique as the characters themselves. the descriptive writing is so simple yet striking - evoking images and sounds of the surf, sun-dappled and moonlit underwater scenes, and sandy beaches. i felt that i was there in the story, experiencing everything and playing silent witness to Serafay, Nilafay and Torkek's lives.
i am also amazed at how the author managed to fit everything in this short first volume without making me feel overwhelmed. in fact, it only piqued my curiosity further.
Serafay and Torkek's tale is just beginning and i cannot wait to read what happens next. i empathize with them and i will cheer for them both whatever comes their way.

*Two Moons of Sera (No. 1) is available at Amazon  and Smashwords. for more information about Pavarti K Tyler and her work, please visit her blog, http://www.fightingmonkeypress.com/, Goodreads and follow her on Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr.
