for the past four years, i always get melancholy and sentimental every time Mother's Day approaches. it really is different when one no longer has a mother to celebrate it with. 
when i came across this book, i realized that my siblings and i were fortunate and blessed to have known our own birth mother and to have been raised and loved by her. other people like the author did not have that chance...
